Local students with a love for musical theater are coming together to host “Beetlejuice Jr.” and Hopkinsville High School Senior Rebecca Wood appeared on WHOP on Wednesday to share all of the details.
Students from Hopkinsville and Christian County High Schools and Middle Schools are putting on the show. “Beetlejuice” is a campy 1988 movie following a family that moves into a haunted house and the ghosts of the prior residents attempt to scare them away.
Wood says “Beetlejuice Jr.” focuses on teenager Lydia Deetz, played by her, as she explores the paranormal aspects of her new home.
Wood says they have been rehearsing since November and the show is coming to the Alhambra Theatre on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children 17 years old or younger.
Wood says the show will include a lot of new and returning faces and looks forward to seeing the community there.
Tickets are available at the door and at pennyroyalarts.org.
