The Christian County Lady Colonels opened up the 2025 high school softball season by routing District 8 opponent Fort Campbell 16-0 in three innings on Monday night at Lady Colonels Field.
Alondra Rodriguez led the way for the Lady Colonels with three hits, including a double.
Christian County scored 11 runs in the first inning to back the pitching of Alyssa Petterson, who allowed only one hit and struck out eight batters.
Jazzy Tejada went 2-for-3 and drove in three RBI on the day and Petterson also had a pair of hits, including a double.
The Lady Colonels return to action Thursday at home against Heritage Christian Academy in another District 8 game.
