The Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to a residential fire at the corner of East 10th and Broad Streets that impacted around seven apartments on Monday.
According to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers the fire was extinguished in around 45 minutes and the apartments either suffered fire or smoke damages. At the scene, 10 residents evacuated and no injuries were reported.
Rogers says they believe an electrical issue could have contributed to the fire.
