Hopkinsville Police arrested 19-year-old Kentrell Pettus and 18-year-old Zorri Bell both of Hopkinsville on Thursday after they reportedly used physical force to steal money from a victim.
According to a report, the victim told officers that the Pettus and Bell were waiting outside of his home as he retrieved cash from his bedroom safe. While he was doing so, the pair reportedly came inside, pushed him to the ground and grabbed around $2,200 from the safe.
The victim says he chased the pair which led to a struggle in Pettus’ car. Bell then reportedly threatened to shoot the victim if he didn’t let the money go. The pair were located later that night and officers reportedly found that they made large cash purchases with the victim’s money.
The pair were taken into custody and Pettus reportedly made a statement confirming the victim’s report. Pettus and Bell were charged with complicity to first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary.
