As Kentucky’s current hunting season comes to an end, fishing and hunting licenses and permits are available to purchase for the 2025-2026 hunting season.
The new license year for outdoor recreation will start Saturday March 1, and runs through February 28 2026. The license will cover basic hunting and fishing for many species, but additional permits are required for specific species like trout or migratory bird, deer and wild turkey.
