Hopkinsville Police arrested 18-year-old Charles Gray of Hopkinsville after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit while intoxicated on Thursday.
According to a report, officers were responding to a call regarding a possible burglary. Near the scene, officers witnessed Gray’s car which matched the description from the report and initiated a traffic stop.
Gray reportedly fled, starting a pursuit that reached speeds over 100 MPH and went on for several miles before Gray ran into a pond near Allis Chalmers Road.
Gray was charged with speeding, first-degree fleeing or evading police, disregarding a stop sign, disregarding a traffic device, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, possession of an open alcoholic beverage, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest.
