Todd Co. Water District customers can expect slight rate increase

Customers of the Todd County Water District should be aware of a slight rate increase starting on their next bill in March.

By slight, officials are giving notice that the rate will increase four cents per 1,000 gallons of water—that increase is a direct result of the rate increase from the water district’s wholesale provider, the Logan-Todd Regional Water Commission.

For example, the residential rates are currently $24.00 for the first 2,000 gallons of water, but with this increase, that would become $24.08.

Those new rates came into effect on February 1 and have been approved by the Kentucky Public Service Commission, so customers can expect the rate to be reflected on their next bill.
