The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is asking for support in the Kentucky Ag Tags road to $1 million.
The KDA sets a new goal of surpassing last year’s record-breaking donation of just over $900,000. This donation was the largest given by Kentucky farmers in a single year and exceeds the 2023 donation by nearly $200,000.
The Ag Tag Program was created to support Kentucky’s agricultural youth and generates money through a $10 voluntary donation when you buy or renew farm vehicle license plates. The money will then be separated between the KDA, Kentucky FFA and Kentucky 4-H to send resources to farm families.
Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell is supporting the efforts and says the program is creating a lasting impact in communities through local organizations and programs.
