Pancake lovers filled the War Memorial Building in Downtown Hopkinsville Saturday morning for the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club’s annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.
The breakfast raises funds for the club’s mission of supporting local youth. For $7 attendees got all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausages. Kiwanis Club President Nikki Chambers says the money from the breakfast will go toward local youth organizations, academic scholarships and the Willie Renshaw Warm the Children Initiative.
Warm the Children is one of the club’s most well-known initiatives. It provides warm clothes such as coats, shoes, gloves and more for children in need. In 2024, Chambers says they were able to provide winter clothes to 270 children.
Chambers thanked the Krusteaz Company for donating the pancake mix and the breakfast’s sponsors for supporting the event.
Around 400 people attended the Pancake Breakfast.
