The United Way of Greater Nashville opened a free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) prep site in Clarksville on Saturday.
The tax prep site is located at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library and is open on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until April 12. Walk-ins are welcome.
According to a news release, the United Way set up the free prep site to help low-to-moderate-income individuals save money while filing taxes this year. Virtual tax appointments can be made at getyourrefund.org.
