Man charged in brief pursuit in Madisonville

A man is facing numerous charges following a brief pursuit in Madisonville Tuesday. 

According to the Madisonville Police Department, an officer patrolling in the area witnessed a moped ignore a traffic control device and almost strike the officer’s cruiser. When the officer tried to initiate a traffic stop, the driver allegedly continued driving northbound, and failed to stop even when another officer got involved. 

The driver—identified as Pablo Gregorio—eventually came to a stop in front of Legates Furniture and was quickly taken into custody, where he allegedly resisted arrest multiple times.

Gregorio is facing charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, DUI, resisting arrest, criminal possession of forged instrument and several traffic violations.
