The Caldwell County Water District has issued a boil water advisory for addresses in the Hopkinsville Road area following a repair to a leak.
According to the water district, the boil water advisory is in effect for addresses on KY 128, Hopkinsville Road from KY 128 to Old Railroad Bed Road, Scottsburg Road, Sandlick Road, Dawson Road from Stallons Road to Longbreak Road, Lewistown Church Road, Lamb Road, Watson Road and Stallons Road.
This advisory is in effect until further notice and customers are asked to boil water for at least three minutes before consumption.
Officials say that the pump station on Hopkinsville Road developed a leak outside of the building at a fitting, and they had to shut down the pump station to make the necessary repairs, resulting in low or no water pressure.
Water samples will be taken for testing and the water district will announcement when the advisory is lifted.
