Heritage Christian Academy senior guard Jason Leek was at it again Thursday night, doing what he does best.
The state’s top scorer pumped in 51 points and led the visiting Warriors to a 76-70 high school basketball victory over Clarksville Christian School.
Leek also had nine rebounds, seven assists, and four steals in the game.
The Warriors broke a two-game losing streak and improved to 5-13 on the season.
Leek had 13 of the Warriors’ 16 points in the first quarter as they held a 16-15 advantage after one quarter. The HCA star added eight more points in the second quarter and the Warriors led 32-28 at the break.
But Clarksville Christian had no answer for Leek in the third quarter as he added 18 points to his total and the Warriors opened up a 56-47 lead entering the final frame. It was the third game this year that Leek has scored at least 50 points.
Senior center Sam Thompson also had a big game for HCA with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Warriors return to action Saturday at Christian Fellowship.
