One hurt in Princeton Road crash

A Hopkinsville resident was the victim of icy road conditions early Sunday morning, resulting in a wreck on Princeton Road that sent them to the hospital.

According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Devorian Kendrick of Hopkinsville was heading south on Princeton Road around 5:40 a.m. when it slid on the ice- and snow-covered roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck an embankment, causing a wheel to come off.

That wheel landed back in the roadway, which is when it was hit by another southbound vehicle, causing damage.

Kendrick was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for complaints of pain to his back.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
