Relay for Life invites community to breakfast fundraiser

To support those fighting cancer, Christian County Relay for Life is kicking off their 2025 fundraising season with their Pancake Breakfast.

Relay for Life is an organization devoted to helping those fighting cancer and their families navigate treatment and recovery by providing rides to appointments, helping purchase wigs and much more. Pam Futrell from relay shared that 2024 was a successful year and they were able to raise over $68,000.

Futrell says she’s looking forward to their annual relay for life in fall and the theme of this year’s campaign is “Destination: Cure.”

The pancake breakfast is set for January 25 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. Futrell says the breakfast will include all you can eat pancakes and sausages for $5 per plate and to-go orders will be available.

Tickets for the breakfast can be bought from any relay committee member or attendees can pay at the door.
