HHS, CCHS renew basketball rivalry tonight

Hopkinsville and Christian County will renew their basketball rivalry tonight at Tiger Gym with a girls’/boys/ doubleheader. Hoptown also will induct 16 new members into its Athletics Hall of Fame between games.

The Lady Tigers (4-6) will play host to the Lady Colonels (9-8) at 5:30 p.m. The F&M Bank Pregame show is scheduled for 5:15 on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP. It is the District 8 opener for both teams.

Following the girls’ game, the Hall of Fame ceremonies will begin around 7 p.m.

The boys’ contest will tip off around 8 p.m. Hopkinsville enters the game 4-9 overall and 1-0 in District 8 play. Christian County is 2-11 and opens district play.

The 16 members of the newest HHS Athletics Hall of Fame include Craig Clayton, Ricky Abren, Rick Deason, Kenny Lee, Tommy Wade, Lamonte Ware, Tim Haworth, Jordan Majors, Easton McGee, Brian Dodd, Jeff Addison, Lindsay Porter-Adele, Jessie Green, Tony Ricks, Mike Chadwell, and Pete Rembert.
