UHA’s Lindsey signs with Northern Kentucky

University Heights Academy senior golfer Conlee Lindsey finally made it official, signing a national letter-of-intent with Northern Kentucky University during a ceremony in front of the UHA student body on Wednesday morning.

Lindsey, who committed to the school last fall, said she was relieved and excited to begin the next chapter of her golf career.

Lindsey had a stellar career at UHA, qualifying all six years for the All “A” State Tournament. She won the All “A” Regional Tournament multiple years. She also qualified for the KHSAA State Golf Tournament four years and earned multiple All-Region honors.

One of her top honors came following her senior season when she was able to play in the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-State Tournament.

UHA Golf Coach Brandon Grace said he was proud of the work that Lindsey has put in to improve her game. He also credited her work with Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Golf Professional Mitchell Moore and with trainer Wesley Nelson for her success on the course.

However, he noted that Lindsey faces a tough challenge this fall when she arrives on the Northern Kentucky campus.

Lindsey said she knows it will be a challenge to contribute to the team as a freshman, but she welcomes the challenge.

Lindsey is the second UHA golfer to sign a Division I scholarship. Anna Moore played at Murray State, winning the Ohio Valley Conference championship in 2019.
