It’s All “A” Week for the small schools of Region 2 this week.
The girls’ Region 2 All “A” Basketball Tournament begins tonight at various sites.
Caldwell County visits Fort Campbell at 5:30 p.m.
Due to the weather, Lyon County’s game with Dawson Springs has been moved to Tuesday night at 6. The two winners will play at 6 p.m. Thursday in the first semifinal game at Crittenden.
Livingston Central and Crittenden County, who were originally scheduled to play tonight, now will play Tuesday at 6 p.m. The winner will play Heritage Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the second semifinal game in Marion.
The girls’ Region 2 All “A” championship is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at Crittenden County High School.
The region champion will play the Region 15 champion in the All “A” Classic State Tournament on Jan. 22 at 8 a.m. in the Owensboro Sportscenter.
The boys’ Region 2 All “A” Tournament begins with quarterfinals play on Tuesday night. University Heights Academy will take on HCA at Warrior Gym at 6 p.m. Airtime for the game is 5:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm. The winner advances to the Friday night 6 p.m. semifinal to take on either Lyon County or Crittenden County, who play at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Marion.
In the bottom portion of the bracket, Caldwell County plays Fort Campbell at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Dawson Springs hosts Llivingston Central. The winners advance to play in the 7:30 p.m. Friday semifinal at Dawson Springs.
The boys’ Region 2 All “A” Championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Dawson Springs.
The Region 2 Boys’ champion will advance to the All “A” Classic State Tournament to take on the Region 15 champion at 8:30 a.m., Jan. 23, at the Sportscenter in Owensboro.
