Several injured, including children, in Christmas Day wreck

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a wreck on Pilot Rock Road from Christmas Day that injured several people, including children. 

The single vehicle crash happened in the 1200 block of Pilot Rock Road at approximately 5:30 p.m., according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, who says the vehicle ran off the road for an unknown reason and went airborne before coming to a stop.

Three children were injured, and two of those children were flown to Vanderbilt Pediatrics in Nashville for treatment of injuries that were believed to be severe. One other victim was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in stable condition. 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department will release more information as it becomes available.
