A Christian County Grand Jury issues indictments for abuse, robbery

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for sexual abuse, robbery and drug trafficking on Friday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Hazen of Hopkinsville was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12 between June and August 19.

Eighteen-year-old Jaden Smith of Clarksville was arrested for robbery on November 5 after he reportedly attempted to flee with money and THC vaping pens during an exchange. As Smith fled, he reportedly wrecked in a ditch while a passenger was hanging on to the outside of the vehicle.

Smith was indicted on first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, receiving stolen property, third-degree terroristic threatening and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Twenty-three-year-old Jacob Williams of Hopkinsville was indicted for multiple charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit on October 28. Williams was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of restricted ammunition during a felony, reckless driving, 11 counts of disregarding a stop sign and other lesser charges.

Twenty-one-year-old Ja’Darion Bagwell of Hopkinsville was indicted for multiple charges after he was arrested on November 7 for reportedly trafficking in fentanyl. Bagwell was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of restricted ammunition, first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of marijuana.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jhanti Gold of Clarksville was indicted on multiple drug charges after law enforcement reportedly located various drugs in his vehicle on October 17. Gold was indicted for first-degree trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia.
