Christian County’s “Big 3” powered the Lady Colonels to a 66-44 victory over visiting Todd County Central Thursday night in a girls’ high school basketball game.
Na’Vaeh Day had 22 points, 20 rebounds, and four steals. Anaysia Bagwell had 16 points and Lazarie Daniel added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Colonels, who improved to 5-3.
The Christian County Special Olympics basketball team was introduced between the JV and varsity games.
Todd (4-4) led 29-28 at halftime, but the Lady Colonels turned up the defense in the final two quarters, allowing only 15 points in the second half.
Carliah Hopson scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter for the Lady Colonels.
Ja’Mya Kay had 15 points to lead Todd. Alexis Taylor added 13.
Christian County will play Bullitt East tonight in the Queen of the Commonwealth Tournament.
