The Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation has approved 18 more agriculture loans since early November.
This time the loans totaled around $3.3 million dollars. Loans are issued to individuals interested in starting or expanding agriculture related projects.
There were a number of western Kentucky recipients, with one recipient residing in Marshall County receiving a $22,000 agriculture infrastructure loan. Two other recipients from Trigg and Henderson Counties received beginning farmer loans totally to $250,000 each.
In a news release from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, the agriculture loans are designed to assist farmers who show interest in developing, expanding or buying into farming operations. Individuals can qualify for financing to purchase livestock, equipment or agriculture facilities.
