Heritage Christian Academy battled visiting Clarksville Christian tooth and nail the entire game before picking up its first boys’ high school basketball victory of the year 52-50 Tuesday night.
Senior guard Jason Leek poured in a career-high 43 points to power the Warriors, who improved to 1-3 on the season.
Leek connected on all six of his free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the win for HCA, which returns to action Saturday against Foundation Christian in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Classic at Hopkinsville High School.
