Anaysia Bagwell took over in the second half and led the Christian County Lady Colonels to an easy 68-44 girls’ high school basketball victory over Madisonville-North Hopkins Tuesday night.
Bagwell scored 15 of her 21 points in the second half to help the Lady Colonels improve to 2-1 on the season. Na’Vaeh Day added 16 points, including 13 in the second half.
Christian County scored the game’s first seven points and never trailed in the game.
The Lady Colonels also held the Lady Maroons’ star Riley Sword to four first-half points. The senior ended the game with 18 as Madisonville fell to 2-2 on the year.
The Lady Colonels are back in action Thursday night at Henderson County in a battle of two of the Region 2 favorites.
