Spartans pull away from University Heights

University Heights Academy is still looking for its first high school basketball win of the season after dropping a 74-64 decision to visiting South Warren on Friday night.

The Spartans (1-1) led most of the way despite 35 points from Blazers’ junior guard Tylin George.

South Warren led 17-15 after one quarter and 40-35 at halftime.

The Blazers (0-2) still were within striking distance in the third, trailing 60-56. However, the Spartans outscored UHA 14-8 to close out the game.

Elijah Walton and Brisyn Northington each added 10 points for the Blazers, who are back in action Tuesday night at Murray.
