Woman charged following attempt to strike victim with car

A Hopkinsville woman is facing a wanton endangerment charge after she allegedly tried to strike her boyfriend with a car at a gas station on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

It happened late Sunday night at the Marathon gas station, according to Hopkinsville police, with a report stating that 23-year-old Nautica George of Hopkinsville and the victim had gotten a verbal argument in the parking lot.

The victim got out of the vehicle and tried to walk away, which is when George—who was still in the vehicle—allegedly began to pull out of the parking lot before throwing the car in reverse. She then allegedly did a sharp turn in an attempt to strike the victim at a fast rate of speed.

The incident was captured on video surveillance.

George was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
