Sheriff’s Office arrests man for drug trafficking, possessing a stolen gun

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant on November 22 that resulted in the arrest of 24-year-old Michael Epperson for drug trafficking.

According to a report, Epperson had an active warrant for failing to appear in court so deputies responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Main Street in Hopkinsville to make contact with him. Law enforcement reportedly witnessed Epperson exit a car and detected the order of marijuana.

A search of his person reportedly yielded a clear bag of orange pills, a bottle of suspected cocaine and fentanyl pills and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. A search of Epperson’s residence reportedly unveiled additional quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, gabapentin pills, marijuana and a stolen handgun.

Epperson was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and failure to appear.

During the warrant execution, another individual was in Epperson’s car and was charged with two counts of drug possession.
