Visit Hopkinsville receives awards for tourism campaigns

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention and Visitors Bureau is celebrating after receiving several awards at the 2024 Kentucky Tourism Industry Association Conference.

Visit Hopkinsville was awarded for its collaboration in the Kentucky After Dark and Great Big Kentucky Adventures campaigns that spotlights attractions across western Kentucky. In a news release, Visit Hopkinsville Executive Director Amy Rogers says she was ecstatic to receive multiple awards and also shared that tourism funding from the American Rescue Plan Act allowed convention and visitors bureau to collaborate on these campaigns and initiatives.

The Kentucky After Dark campaign promotes paranormal tourism and in Christian County the Kelly green men encounter was spotlighted. The Great Big Kentucky Adventures campaign explores “capitals” across western Kentucky. In the campaign, Hopkinsville is the Batter Capital of the World.

The collaborative tourism campaigns received six gold, three silver and three bronze traverse awards.
