The Louisville Courier Journal released its preseason girls’ basketball Top 25 poll and top players in the state as voted on by the paper’s writers and state’s coaches.
Two Christian County Lady Colonels are ranked in the top 30.
Anaysia Bagwell was picked No. 25 and Day was picked at No. 29. Day, a 5-foot-9 senior forward, averaged 11.2 points per game a year ago and has committed to Rend Lake Community College. Bagwell, a 5-5 senior guard, averaged 19 points as a junior and has not picked a college yet.
“We are very proud of both athletes and the work they have put in to earn these accolades,” Christian County coach Kiki Radford said.
