The holidays are around the corner and the Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA is inviting the community to support local children who want to participate in their programs.
YMCA Associate Executive Director, Kristen Lilly appeared on WHOP News on Monday and shared that they are accepting donations and sponsorships for their Thankful Tree campaign. Lilly says the donations help children be able to participate in sports, swim lessons and camping trips who would otherwise not be able to.
Donations will also go toward the YMCA’s feeding and tutoring programs. Those interested in donating can do so by going to the YMCA or online at hopkinsvilleymca.org.
Turning toward events, the YMCA is hosting Parent’s Day Out programs on November 22 and November 29. Lilly says the program is available for members and non-members.
On Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, Lilly says their joining fee will be free. More information about YMCA programing is available on Facebook at Hopkinsville Family YMCA.
