Christmas at the Bend returns on December 7

It’s that time again, when Jeffers Bend Environmental Center gets spruced up and invites in both the community and Santa for their Christmas at the Bend event.

It will take place on December 7 this year at the center located off of Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a focus on family fun through many activities. There will be pictures with Santa Claus, games and prizes, fun with firemen and police as they talk about holiday safety, and of course, attendees will have more than enough snacks and drinks to pick from to enjoy.

One big thing that happens at Christmas at the Bend is the creation of Christmas cards for area nursing home residents—a tradition that is of vital importance, as for many of those residents, this could be the only Christmas greetings they get this year.

Admission is $5 per car and $10 per buses with up to 15 passengers, and that entrance free covers all costs except for photos with Santa, which will be $5. Military families and first responders get in free.
