The Kentucky Department of Agriculture announces the 2025 poster and essay contest is open for submissions.

This annual contest opens with the theme ‘Kentucky Agriculture Makes Me Proud’ to showcase the important role farming plays in the state.

Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell says, “Kentucky residents can be proud of so many things happening in their state. One of those that’s closest to my heart is our dedicated farmers and our agricultural roots.”

The contestants have been asked to illustrate in 500 words or less, original artwork, or photography how agriculture fills them with pride. All students in grade K-12 can submit entries by March 7, 2025 and winners from each grade level will be notified by April 18, 2025.
