Crofton man injured in Hopkinsville-Mt. Zoar Road crash

A Crofton man was injured in a crash on Hopkinsville-Mount Zoar Road Sunday afternoon.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the 7500 block of Hopkinsville-Mount Zoar Road just before 5 p.m. for reports that a man was going door-to-door asking for help in changing his tire and getting his vehicle out a ditch.

Deputies made contact with 67-year-old Howard Hart of Crofton, who told officers he had been shot at—investigation found no gunshot wound to the victim or his vehicle.  Investigation also reportedly determined Hart had struck a brick mailbox with his vehicle, causing it to go off the roadway and into a ditch.
