The Book and Bottle Shop—Hopkinsville’s first bookstore and wine bar combination store—is getting ready to host a grand opening event set for next Tuesday.
The store is located in the historic Tom Wade building, and it combines a love of books with a curated wine bar, creating a unique space for readers, wine lovers, and anyone looking for a place to stop and relax.
The grand opening event gets underway starting at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the festivities last all day, with early bird shopping perks, hourly prizes, a local artisan pop-up shop from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and a live jazz performance beginning at 5 p.m.
During opening week, alcohol sales won’t be available, but visitors can enjoy browsing books, tasting small plates, and sampling non-alcoholic beverages. The menu will include shareable plates such as bruschetta, pimento cheese dip, and charcuterie boards, plus seasonal treats like Nutella flatbreads and no-bake cheesecake. Specialty coffee drinks, mocktails, and other beverages round out the offerings.
After the grand opening, the Book and Bottle Shop will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
