One injured in deer-related crash on Pennyrile Parkway

Deer have been a factor in several crashes recently, including one on the Pennyrile Parkway Halloween morning that resulted in injuries.

According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Robert Lewe of Crofton was heading south on the Parkway near the 12-mile marker just before 7 a.m. when a deer entered his path in the roadway.

He was unable to avoid a collision, striking the deer—he was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries to his arm.
