The Garden Trail is described as a botanical adventure that features 12 gardens and arboreta across nine counties, ranging from plant collections to historic sites. The Kentucky Garden Trail’s passport program allows visitors to document the landscape across the trail and receive rewards along the way.

Mahr Park joins the Trail that is already host to botanical favorites such as the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden in Owensboro, Baker Arboretum in Bowling Green, the University of Louisville Arboretum, Liberty Hall Historic Site in Frankfort and many more.

Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission Executive Director Tricia Noel says, “We are excited to help launch the Kentucky Garden Trail. This project not only promotes tourism among the 9 participating counties but also highlights our industry’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and sustainability. This collaborative project beautifully showcases the diverse natural landscapes that make Kentucky unique.”
