It was a tough first day of the Leachman/KHSAA Girls’ State Golf Championship Friday for two local golfers.
University Heights Academy’s Conlee Lindsey is tied for 57th place and shot a 16-over-par 88 and Hopkinsville’s Cate Blane is tied for 66th after carding a 17-over-par 89 Friday at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Lindsey is scheduled to tee off for today’s final round at 8:27 a.m. and Blane will tee off at 8:18 a.m. today.
Rowan County’s Athena Singh was 2-under-par and leads by three strokes entering today’s second round.
