Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Shamarkius Oldham of Clarksville on Thursday for reportedly possessing a stolen vehicle.
According to a report, the sheriff’s office received an alert concerning a stolen Tennessee license plate in the area of Pembroke Road and Highway 115. Deputies located the vehicle in the parking lot at Martinrea Hopkinsville LLC and found that it was reportedly stolen out of McCracken County.
When deputies entered Martinrea to make contact with Oldham he reportedly attempted to flee out of a side door and but was detained. Deputies also report that he initially provided them with false information, but later admitted to driving the stolen vehicle for around a week.
Oldham was charged with receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000 and theft of a motor vehicle license plate.
