Downtown Trick-or-Treating set to return to Hopkinsville on Halloween

It’s almost that time again—when young trick-or-treaters will take to the streets on the hunt for candy, and that includes for the return of the Hopkinsville Family Trick-or-Treating event downtown.

According to Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation, the fun takes place on October 31 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., and children ages walking to 12-years-old are invited to enjoy a festive afternoon collecting candy from local businesses and organizations.

Booths will line Main Street where kids in costume can grab their treats, and people are encouraged to dress up and take pictures in front of a giant inflatable pumpkin.

This year also brings a new experience hosted by the Pennyroyal Center—the “No-Scare Square”, a specially designated area at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion and Founder’s Square. This calm space is designed for those who may find crowds and other typical Halloween activities overwhelming. Its purpose to provide a relaxed atmosphere with resources to support emotional and mental well-being.
