Atmos Energy has donated $2 million to food banks across Kentucky, and some of those locations were local.
According to a news release, September was Hunger Action Month and Atmos Energy took part in the nationwide campaign to raise awareness about food insecurity and hopeful inspire others to combat hunger. The $2 million Atmos is donating to the cause will help provide food to the facility’s that are critical for helping vulnerable populations that face food supply struggles
Locally, Atmos is providing funding to the Hopkinsville Salvation Army, Madisonville Salvation Army, the Dawson Springs Food Bank and Feeding America.
