Christian Co. woman charged for internet sex crimes against children

A Christian County woman is facing numerous charges related to internet crimes against children following an investigation by Kentucky State Police.

According to a news release from KSP, 33-year-old Stephanie Renee Vickers was arrested as the result of an undercover investigation, where she was the suspect in sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. An interview was conducted with Vickers at a residence in Hopkinsville—troopers seized equipment used to facilitate the crime and Vickers was arrested.

She is charged with four counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old, four counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and four counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance.

The investigation remains ongoing and Vickers was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
