Two people were injured in a shooting on Bella Court in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating, and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP News that two people sustained gunshot wounds in the incident that occurred just before 5 p.m.
One victim, a male late teens or early 20’s, was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment of a wound to his lower extremity. A female victim of similar age was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Those injuries were believed to be critical in nature.
