The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a wreck that occurred Thursday morning near Liberty Park and resulted in injuries and a portion of a road being shut down.
According to a report, the wreck occurred at around 9:28 a.m. and in response law enforcement shut down the northbound lanes of Cumberland Drive and advised for motorists to avoid the area while fatal crash investigators are at the scene.
A female driver involved in the wreck had to be extricated from her vehicle and flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her status is unknown and no other information is currently available.
