The Christian County Colonels ended a three-match losing streak Thursday night as they hammered host Muhlenberg County 6-0.
Alex Hale had two goals and two assists to lead the Colonels.
An own goal by the Mustangs in the opening 10 seconds of the game helped Christian County take a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Hale’s first goal in the opening minute of the second half broke open the flood gates. Noah Davis added a goal 10 minutes later on an assist from Hale. Christian Lopez scored in the 55th minute on an assist from Hale to make it 4-0.
Tyler Stokes scored in the 73rd minute on an assist from Leland Creamer and Hale added the final goal in the 77th minute with an assist from Christian Lopez.
Mason Malone earned the shutout in goal with three saves.
Christian County is now 9-6 on the season and play host to Hopkins County Central on Monday night.
