Colonels gear up for rainy grid war with Caldwell

The Christian County Colonels football team will look to get back on the winning side of the column tonight when it plays host to the Caldwell County Tigers.

It is likely going to be rainy, windy, and a messy night when the teams take the field at 7 p.m.

Colonels’ coach Ethan Atchley said his team must take care of the football to have a chance to beat the Tigers.

The Colonels are 0-4 on the season and have not won a game since last Sept. 29 when they defeated Caldwell County 22-14 in Princeton. Caldwell County comes in on a four-game losing streak and lost 44-27 last week to McCracken County.

The Tigers are led by quarterback Daelyn Lander, who has thrown for nearly 600 yards and five touchdowns. Running back Kameron Spikes has run for 203 yards and one touchdown.

The game can be heard at 6:30 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
