A woman was injured in a pedestrian and vehicle accident early Friday morning in Clarksville on Ringgold Road near the post office on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
According to a report from Clarksville Police, a passing motorist located a woman in the roadway who had reportedly been struck by a car. The woman has since been transported to Tennova Healthcare and the status of her injuries is unknown.
The accident resulted in the eastbound lane of Ringgold Road being closed to traffic to allow the Fatal Accident Crash Team to investigate the scene.
The driver involved in the accident reportedly left before law enforcement arrived. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
