The Hopkinsville High School cross-country team traveled to Bowling Green Saturday to compete in the Gatorland Invitational, hosted by Greenwood High School.
Tyson Cavinder led all local runners by taking seventh place in a time of 17:28. Teammate Fernando Ginez Rojas finished in 27:52.7.
Meanwhile, Lauren Mayes led the Lady Tigers with a 23rd overall finish in a time of 22:15.1.
Hoptown finished 10th as a team.
Kaydon Coats took 49th in a time of 23:53.1 and Rebecca Wood was 55th in 24:02.1. Evelyn Bangart ran 57th in 24:04.4 and Luanna Acree was 129 with a time of 29:13.3.
Greenwood won the team title with 86 point, followed by Hume-Fogg, Tenn., (90) and Dickson County, Tenn. (97).
Greenwood also won the boys’ title with 115 points. Dickson County was second with 174 and Clarksville, Tenn., was third with 194 points.
