A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for crimes involving wanton endangerment, assault and drug trafficking on Friday.
Delrico McKissick, age 20 of Hopkinsville, and Lamareontez Lewis, age 19 of Hopkinsville, were indicted on multiple charges in connection to their reported involvement in a shooting on July 4 that resulted in the victim having to be transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his injuries.
McKissick was indicted for first-degree complicity to assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and two counts of first-degree complicity to criminal mischief. Lewis was indicted for five counts of first-degree complicity to wanton endangerment, two counts of first-degree complicity to criminal mischief and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Yoandi Perez, age 32 of Florida, was indicted for first-degree assault after he reportedly assaulted a man with a machete in Oak Grove on July 30. According to a report, Perez had gotten into a fight with a male victim who suffered severe lacerations across his body and had to be transported to a Nashville hospital for treatment of his injuries.
James Overton, age 32 of Hopkinsville, was charged with second-degree assault after he reportedly assaulted a woman on July 16.
Daviontae Gulledge, age 27 of Oak Grove, was indicted on multiple charges after he was reportedly found to be in possession of a significant number of illegal narcotics on August 1 following a traffic stop.
According to a report, Gulledge was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana, along with several items of drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking. A search of his home reportedly yielded additional drugs, along with a handgun and cash.
Gulledge was indicted for three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of restricted ammunition and failure to wear a seat belt.
