Motorcyclist flown following Cox Mill Road crash

A Hopkinsville man was flown to a Nashville hospital following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Cox Mill Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, investigation determined that a motorcycle operated by 50-year-old Preston Bond of Hopkinsville was heading south on Cox Mill Road at the intersection of Glass Lane, where he misjudged the curve of the road.

He reportedly went off the roadway and into a ditch, which caused him to become airborne and become ejected from the motorcycle.

He was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries to his face and head, along with other unspecified injuries.
