Princeton man injured in West Seventh Street crash

A Princeton man was injured in a wreck on West Seventh Street in Hopkinsville Saturday after he reportedly swerved to avoid a deer.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Johnny Scott of Princeton was heading west on West Seventh Street near the intersection of Westwood Drive, when a deer reportedly jumped into his path. He slammed on his breaks and swerved, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence, severely damaging it. 

Scott was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
